ORDINANCE NO. 07

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING  AND ESTABLISHING THE FEE SCHEDULE AND REGULATIONS FOR THE ROCKVILLE PUBLIC SWIMMING POOL

WHEREAS, the Town of Rockville, Indiana owns and operates a public municipal swimming pool facility located within Beechwood Park; and

WHEREAS, the Town Council finds it necessary to adjust user admission  rates, pass fees, and private rental charges to support the maintenance  and operational overhead of said municipal facility;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF ROCKVILLE, INDIANA:

SECTION 1: PUBLIC ADMISSION FEES

The baseline daily general admission  fees for entry into the Rockville Public Swimming

Pool are established as follows:

  1. Adult General Admission {Ages 18 and older): $7.00 per person, per session.
  2. Child General Admission {Ages 3 through 17): $5.00 per person, per session.
  3. Toddler Admission {Ages 2 and under): Free of charge.
  4. Senior Swim Admission (Allocated from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM daily): $1.00 per senior participant.

SECTION II: SEASON PASS FEES AND MEMBERSHIPS

Annual operational season passes permitting  entry to the municipal pool during standard public hours of operation are established at the following  flat rates:

  1. Individual Season Pass: $50.00 per designated individual.
  2. Family of 4 Season Pass: $125
  3. Add 1 family member after 4: $15
  4. Group Daily Pass: $40.00

SECTION Ill: PRIVATE FACILITY RENTAL AND PARTY FEES

The public swimming pool facility may be reserved for private entities or group functions  outside of scheduled public operational hours, subject to availability and the following  rate schedule:

  1. Two-Hour Private Rental:

$1 00.00 flat fee.

  1. Four-Hour Private Rental: $200.00 flat fee.
  2. Reservation Terms: All private rentals must be scheduled in advance with the Pool Manager and are subject to local lifeguard staffing availability.

SECTION IV: COLLECTION AND DEPOSIT OF FUNDS

All revenues and fees collected under this Ordinance shall be deposited by the Clerk­ Treasurer into the designated Parks and Recreation Municipal Fund to be utilized strictly for pool maintenance, utility costs, staffing, and associated facility overhead.

SECTION V: SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE

  1. Severability. If any section, clause, or provision of this Ordinance is declared invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions.
  2. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and adoption by the Town Council as provided by Indiana law.

MOTION TO ADOPT AN ORDINANCE ON SAME DAY AND AT SAME TIME MEETING

It is hereby moved that the proposed Ordinance hereto attached may be considered, upon its passage, as adopted on this same day and at this same meeting where it has first been introduced.

 

We, the undersigned member of the Town Council, of the Town of Rockville, Indiana, being all the members present at this time, hereby unanimously, adopt this motion and unanimously consent to said action on the proposed Ordinance as provided by I.C. 36-5-2-9.8(A).
