Legal Notice, Notice to Bidders for Vermillion County Assessor’s Office, Cyclical Reassessment

     NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

The Vermillion County Assessor will receive sealed bids for the services listed below at the Vermillion County Assessor’s Office, Newport, Indiana, until 12:00 P.M. (EDT) October 17th, 2025, and will be publicly opened and read aloud during October 18, 2025, at 9:00 A.M. (EDT) in the Vermillion County Assessor’s office located at 255 S Main St, Newport, IN 47966

 

The Vermillion County Assessor will contract for a Professional Appraiser to provide appraisal support for the 2026-2030 Cyclical Reassessment.

 

The “Contractor” as defined in I.C. 6-1.1-4-17 (c) must be certified under IC 6-1.1-31.7 as a Level III assessor-appraiser to bid. The Contractor must have extensive experience in the use and application of the Indiana Assessment Standards.

 

Specifications for this project, which describe the scope of services to be provided and other terms and conditions, will be available in the office of the Vermillion County Assessor during regular business hours.

 

The County Assessor reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in bidding. All bids may be held for a period not to exceed 30 days before the contract is awarded, during which time no bid may be withdrawn.
