ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID

 

Notice is hereby given that the Parke Trails Alliance of Parke County, Indiana; hereafter referred to as the OWNER, will receive sealed bids for the following project:

 

Rockville Covered Bridge Construction Project

 

Parke County, Indiana

 

Project Overview: The Parke Trails Alliance has developed plans for the new construction of a traditional covered bridge to be utilized as a pedestrian bridge. The project will include modifying existing railroad abutments and construction of a new JJ Daniels style covered bridge, including roofing, siding and timber bridge deck. The bridge will be located 0.1 miles south of US 36 and 0.7 miles east of US 41, in Rockville, Indiana.

 

Bid: The work to be performed and the proposals to be submitted shall include a bid for all general construction, labor, material, tools, equipment, taxes, permits, licenses, insurance, service costs, etc. incidental to and required for this project. The contractor who is awarded the bid will be responsible for ensuring these measures are met.

 

Contract Documents: Plans and Specifications may be obtained beginning August 22, 2025 from Repro Graphix, Inc. 437 N. Illinois St., Indianapolis, IN 46204, (317) 637-3377. (www.reprographix.com). Payments and costs of Contract Documents are non-refundable.  Plans will be viewable at the Parke County Community Foundation, located at 115 N. Market St., Rockville, IN 47872 between the hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday through Friday.

 

Bidders shall assure that they have obtained complete sets of drawings and Contract Documents and shall assume the risk of any errors or omissions in the bids prepared in reliance on incomplete set of drawings and Contract Documents. Schedule: A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 am EST, Monday, September 12, 2025 at Parke County Community Foundation, 115 N. Market St., Rockville, IN 47872. A site visit to the bridge site will occur directly after the meeting. The pre-bid meeting is NOT mandatory to be able to bid this project.

 

Sealed proposals must be hand delivered to Parke County Community Foundation, 115 N. Market St., Rockville, IN 47872 during regular business hours or mailed to Parke Trails Alliance, PO Box 3, Rockville, IN 47872 before 1:00 pm EST, September 19, 2025 where bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. Proposals received after this time will be returned to the bidder and will not be read.
