IN THE MATTER OF DETERMINING THE STATUS OF THE D. ROUSE PUBLIC DITCH

 

NOTIC OF PUBLIC HEARING

VERMILLION COUNTY DRAINAGE BOARD

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT this Drainage Board will hold a public hearing to establish a maintenance fund for the D. ROUSE Regulated/Public Drain, as described below per IC 36-9-27-40, located in Highland Township, Vermillion County Indiana. The regulated drain’s watershed is in Sections 17, 18, 19, and 20; all in Township Nineteen (19) North, Range Ten (10) West.

 

That the maintenance report of the Surveyor and schedule of assessments as determined by the Board have been filed and are available for public inspection in the office of the Vermillion County Surveyor. That the Surveyor has estimated that the total annual cost of maintenance for the Drain to be the sum of $6000.00 to cover costs associated with brush removal, spraying, varmint removal, dredging, etc.

 

That you may file written objections not less than five (5) days before the hearing. (IC 36—9-27-40 (d). That each objection and all evidence filed prior to the date of hearing will be given careful consideration. That thereafter the Board will issue an order adopting the final schedule of assessment as finally determined by them, which schedule will be published according to law. That you will have twenty (20) days after the date of publication of the notice of the adopted schedule of assessments of the Drainage Board in which to file for judicial review (IC 36-9-27-1096.)
