Legal Notice – Board of Commissioners, Sealed Bids for Bridge Repair Contract Phase II
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
(LEGAL NOTICE)
The Board of Commissioners of Parke County, of the State of Indiana, will receive sealed bids at the office of Susan Kramer, Parke County Auditor and Secretary to the Board of Commissioners, in the Parke County Courthouse, 116 West High Street, Room 104, Rockville, Indiana, on or before 1:00 P.M. on the 3rd day of March, 2025, for the following project:
2025 PARKE COUNTY BRIDGE NO. 191 (MELCHER) REPAIR CONTRACT – PHASE II
THE PROPOSED WORK WILL INCLUDE: STORMWATER MANGAGEMENT PLAN AND IMPLEMENTATION; ROCK EXCAVATION; COMMON EXCAVATION INSTALLATION OF PUMPAROUND/DEWATERING DEVICES, REINFORCING STEEL, CONCRETE, PATCHING EAST ABUTMENT, INSTALLATION OF CORRUGATED METAL ROOF, BOARD AND BATTEN SIDING, FLOOR BEAMS, LOWER CHORD MEMBERS, ARCH MEMBERS, AND DECK; AND SETTING TRUSS ON ABUTMENTS.
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Board of Commissioners meeting in the Parke County Annex Building #1, 110 East High Street, Rockville, Indiana, commencing at 4:00 p.m. on the 3rd day of March, 2025.
More detailed bid requirement information is included in the “Notice to Bidders – Specification Copy” which is a part of the Bid Documents.
Electronic copies of the Bid Documents may be obtained by request to [email protected]. Documents will be available on or about the 12th day of February, 2025. Contractors desiring to submit a bid shall register by request to [email protected].
Bids shall be submitted on regular bid forms as prescribed by the State of Indiana. All bids must be accompanied by a Bidders Bond, Certified Check or Cash in the amount of Five Percent (5%) of the total bid price, and a non-collusion affidavit, and in all particulars must comply with the laws of the State of Indiana.
Each proposal shall be in a sealed envelope directed to the Board of Commissioners of Parke County, State of Indiana, and plainly marked to indicate the title of the project and the name and address of the bidder.
This project is funded in part by a grant from the Wabash River Heritage Corridor Fund Program administered by the Indiana Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations is required, including: state audit requirements, the National Occupational Safety and Health Act, the Architectural Barriers Act, and Executive Orders and Department of Labor regulations regarding Equal Employment Opportunity. The project must meet applicable Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive, to the extent permitted by law, any of the terms, conditions, or provisions contained in this Notice to Bidders or the Instructions to Bidders, or any informality, irregularity, or omission of any bid provided that such waiver shall, in the discretion of the Board, be to the advantage of Parke County.
