Legal Notice – Ordinance Amending Beechwood Park Rules and Regulations

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
BEECHWOOD PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS

Be it ordained by the Town Council of the Town of Rockville, Indiana, that upon passage of this ordinance, due publication of this notice as required by I.C. 5-3-1 that

WHEREAS, the Town Council of Rockville, Indiana has determined that a need exists for an ordinance codifying the rules and regulations governing the use of Beechwood Park in Rockville, Indiana.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED:

Section 1. General Prohibition. The following Rules and Regulations shall be applicable and enforceable within Beechwood Park in Rockville, Indiana; to wit:
1. Beechwood Park is to be closed to the public from 30 minutes after dusk until 30 minutes after dawn Eastern Standard Time, without prior approval of the Rockville Town Council or Park Board.
2. Possession of alcoholic beverages or controlled substances is prohibited within Beechwood Park.
3. There shall be no overnight camping within Beechwood Park.
4. Bikes, skateboards, and rollerblades are prohibited in the pavilion/chautauqua.

Section 2. Penalties for Violations. Any violation of Section 1 of this Ordinance is a Class B Infraction punishable with a fine not to exceed $1,000.

Section 3. Effective Date. That this Ordinance shall become effective upon passage and legal publication as required by I.C. 5-3-1. Any other ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby deemed revoked and or amended to apply in accordance with this ordinance.

ON SAME DAY AND AT SAME MEETING

It is herby moved that the proposed Ordinance hereto attached may be considered, upon its passage, as adopted on this same day and at this same meeting where it has first been introduced.

We, the undersigned members of the Town Council, of the Town of Rockville, Indiana, being all the members present at this time, hereby unanimously, adopt this motion and unanimously consent to said action on the proposed Ordinance as provided by I.C. 36-5-2-9.8(A).
