Legal Notice – Planning and Zoning, Public Hearings, North side of State Road 36

The Parke County Planning Commission and Board of Zoning appeals will hold public hearings on January 23, 2025, at 5:00 pm and 5:30 pm, respectively. The meetings will be held at 116 W. High Street, Rockville IN.
The property in question is located on the north side of US36 about 1 mile east of County Road N 1050 E.
The request would change the zoning of 1.96 acres from Agricultural to Commercial and would grant a use variance for development as a Dollar General retail store. The request also would reduce the parking requirement for the proposed development from 53 spaces to 40 spaces.
