Legal Notice – Public Hearing, Town of Montezuma, Vacate Chestnut Street
PUBLIC NOTICE- RESCHEDULED PUBLIC HEARING
TO: THE PUBLIC AND THE CITIZENS OF MONTEZUMA, RESERVE TWP, PARKE COUNTY, INDIANA
Notice is hereby given that a Petition to Vacate that portion of Chestnut Street more particularly described below has been filed with the legislative body of the Town of Montezuma by Graham A. Blue and Brian S. Harrison, which Petition requests that the Town Board of the Town of Montezuma pass an Ordinance vacating that portion of Chestnut Street and those public alleyways described as follows, to-wit:
That portion of Chestnut Street, as shown on the plat of Roach & Griswold, Town of Montezuma, Plat Book 1, Page 50, bounded by R&G Lot 4 on the south, R&G Lot 5 on the north, North Market Street on the east, and bounded on the west Parcel No. 61-05-26-000-401.00-013 (former Wabash & Erie Canal)
A public hearing will be held on said Petition before the Town Board of the Town of Montezuma at the Community Center, 800 Jackson Street, on the 2″d day of November, 2023, which meeting commences at 6:00 p.m. Thereafter, the proposed Ordinance vacating that portion of Chestnut Street and the public alleyways will be considered for adoption by the Town Board of the Town of Montezuma at its meeting at the Community Center held on November 2, 2023, which meeting commences at 6:00 p.m. Any person aggrieved by the proposed vacation may object at the hearings thereon as provided by I.C. 36-7-3.
