ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

FOR JEFFERSON STREET RECONSTRUCTION

TOWN OF ROCKVILLE, INDIANA

 

Sealed quotes will be received by the Town of Rockville, at Town Hall, 103 W High Street, Rockville, Indiana, until 8:00 a.m. (local time) on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, and then will be publicly opened and read aloud at 8:05 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Any bid(s) received later than 8:00 a.m. (local time) on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 will be returned unopened.

 

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work for which proposals are to be received includes Reconstruction of Jefferson Street, from US 36 to York Street, in Rockville, Indiana.

 

BID DOCUMENTS: Specifications, Contract Documents, and Plans are available for examination on or after 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 4, 2022 in the following office:

  • Electronic copies of the Specifications, Contract Documents and Plans may also be obtained free of charge by sending an email to jhofman@structurepoint.com requesting instructions to download the documents from the American Structurepoint Sharefile site. All questions related to obtaining bid documents shall be directed to Justin Hofman at 812-664-6265.

 

Bids shall be properly and completely executed on Bid Forms contained in the Contract Documents. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a proposal, itemized proposal, bid bond or certified check, a completely filled out Form No. 96 (Revised 2013), list of proposed suppliers and subcontractors, list of bidder experience, non-collusion affidavit, and acceptable bid security. Any Bid not accompanied by the aforementioned required items shall be deemed to be a non-responsive Bid.

 

No Bidder may withdraw the proposal within a period of 90 days following the date set for the receiving of bids. The Town of Rockville reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than 90 days and said bid shall remain in full force and effect during said time. The Town of Rockville further reserves the right to waive informalities and to award the Contract to the Bidder providing the lowest responsible and responsive bid, all to the advantage of the Town of Rockville, or to reject all bids.

 

BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check made payable to the Town of Rockville or an acceptable bid bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana and whose name appears on the current Treasury Department Circular 570.

 

BONDS: A Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price will be required from the Contractor to whom the work is awarded.

 

RETAINAGE: The OWNER shall retain ten percent (10%) of the amount of each payment until fifty percent (50%) of the work is complete. Retainage amount being held is not to exceed five percent (5%) of the total contract amount. On completion and acceptance of a part of the Work on which the price is stated separately in the Contract Documents, payment may be made in full, including retained percentages, less authorized deductions.

 

NON-COLLUSION AFFIDAVIT: The bidder is required to sign the Non-Collusion Affidavit as set forth in the contract documents.

 

INDIANA REQUIREMENTS: Standard Questionnaire Form 96 – Revised 2013, completely filled out and signed, including attachment of Contractor’s Financial Statement.
