PHMS honors Fall Athletes

The Parke Heritage Middle School Fall Sports Honors Night was held Wednesday, October 30 in the ELC. Athletes from the fall sports of cross country, football, tennis and volleyball were recognized.

Members of the cross country team were recognized by Coach DeLisa Schelsky. Receiving plaques were Hallie Miller and Cooper Vincent, Most Improved Award; and Brooke Mace and Luke Hayes received the Future Wolf Award. Brianne Shields served as an assistant coach for the team.

The football team members were introduced by Coach Corey Ransom. Earning awards were Lane Jordan, Defensive Award; Daman Spurr, Offensive Award; and Peyton Mellon, Iron Man Award. The assistant coaches were Chayne Bollinger and Bob Mellon.

Coach Stephanie Studebaker introduced the members of the tennis team. Nate Woodard and Luke Gordon both received the Most Improved Award. Markus Johnson served as the team’s assistant coach.

Receiving awards for eighth grade volleyball were Kenna Batty, Mental Attitude; Ella Stultz, Coach’s Award/Most Improved; Makinley Conley, Defensive Award; and Phoebe Henderson, Offensive/Aggressive Award. The eighth grade coaches were Tim Henderson and Deb Mitchell.
