LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING UNION TOWNSHIP, PARKE COUNTY

Owners of real property in Union Township, Parke County, Indiana (Township), hereby are given notice that the Township Board (Board) will hold a public hearing on July 8, 2026 beginning at the hour of 6:00 p.m. (local time) at 2276 South State Road 59, Rockville, IN 47872 to discuss and hear objections and support regarding the proposed adoption of a resolution for the Township to incur indebtedness to be used in the acquisition of fire apparatus pursuant to Indiana Code §36-8-13-5. At such hearing all persons interested shall have a right to be heard upon the necessity of entering into such indebtedness and a determination whether or not to borrow and the maximum amount of the loan may be made at the hearing.

Upon closing of the public hearing, the Board will enter into a Board meeting and will consider the adoption of a resolution making a determination to enter into a lease agreement for the purpose of financing the acquisition of the fire apparatus.
