Parke Players Host Fundraiser For Much Needed Upgrades to Historic Ritz Theater

The Ritz Theatre Needs Your Help

The Ritz Theatre was built as the New Rockville Opera House in 1912 and has been in constant operation for over 110 years.

While the building has changed ownership many times through the years, the current owners Parke Players Incorporated, operates the theater as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

It is Parke Players vision, goal and hope that the Ritz Theater will be around for another 110 years and for generations to come.

They are currently undergoing a major fundraising effort to provide a critical renovation to the theater. With the public’s help, they will completely overhaul the electrical infrastructure in the building, remove excessive weight from the roof of the stage and upgrade current stage systems with new technology.
