What is Parke Trails Alliance, exactly?  It is a 501c3 organization that is dedicated to developing, building and maintaining recreational trails in Parke County.  Established in 2009 as Covered Bridge Gateway Trails, it went through a re-branding and name change to Parke Trails Alliance (PTA) in 2018.

In 2015, the first section of trail was completed in the town of Rosedale.  An ADA-accessible trailhead and a paved trail is being used consistently by residents of the town and others.  The vision of the group was to complete a trail between Rosedale and Rockville for walkers, bikers and other non-motorized vehicles.
