The North Central Parke School Board meeting October 20 included no public comments and was free of controversary, with personnel approvals being the most noteworthy actions.  All board members were present and voted to accept the resignation of Dwight Ashley as Parke Heritage High School Principal.  Ashley resigned on October 15 to take another position in education out of this area.  Other resignations accepted by the board included Ron Alabaugh as a High School Social Studies Teacher and Kerry Ferguson from Guidance.

The board voted to appoint current Dean of Students Bruce Patton as Interim Principal until a search for a new principal can be completed, with additional compensation.  They later voted to appoint Amy Harpold to fill the Dean of Students role through the end of the semester and maybe longer, with additional compensation, and noted she will have the opportunity to go back to her elementary physical education position at the end of the year.
