The Sanatorium Restoration Part One

A LOOK BACK. This photograph was kindly shared with us by Kay Timm, a Parke County resident. In it you can see her step-mother Freida Voto a dedicated photographer of the sanatorium. Voto also served as a records clerk in the administration office in the canteen in the basement. Thanksgiving 2020 gave no inkling to Gregg Larson that he would be the owner of a historical landmark. But the next couple months were sure to change that. In February 2021, Larson and his sister-in-law would become the owners of the Parke County Sanatorium with the intent to do a full historical renovation of the site once called home to so many patients.
