Notice of Immediate Board Vacancy
Effective July 1, 2026, the Southwest Parke Community School Corporation Board will have a vacancy for the Florida Township Representative. The Board invites individuals interested in serving the remainder of the term (through December 31, 2026) to apply for the position.
To apply for the position, please submit a letter that provides full contact information (name, address, township of residence, telephone number, email address) and includes responses to the following questions:
- What is the role of a Board member?
- Why do you want to be a Board member?
- What experiences have prepared you for Board service?
- Please detail your understanding of public school finance in Indiana.

Letters must be received by 3:30 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 for full consideration. Letters may be submitted via USPS delivery, hand delivery to the office, or email to Philip T. Harrison, Ph.D. Superintendent at [email protected].
The Board will review applications in Executive Session on Monday, July 20, 2026.
The Board will interview selected candidates on Thursday, July 23, 2026 beginning at 6 PM.
The Board will appoint the selected candidate upon conclusion of the interviews during the Thursday, July 23, 2026 meeting.
