PHHS Senior Hallie Miller Named Academic All-Star

ACADEMIC ALL-STAR. Parke Heritage High School senior Hallie Miller has been selected as an Indiana Academic Regional All-Star by the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP). She was recognized at a special luncheon held Thursday, April 23 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. Only one senior from each school may be nominated and only 50 students throughout the state are selected for this honor. Nominees are evaluated on their strength of transcript, grade point average, SAT scores, extracurricular activities, and commitment to leadership, community service and other activities. As a part of the application process, nominees wrote essays about an educator who has been a significant influence in their lives. Miller selected science teacher Mike Slater as her influential educator. Pictured (from left) Parke Heritage High School principal Bruce Patton and Hallie Miller. (photo submitted)
