Dine with a Doc

Dine with a Doc is scheduled to take place, Thursday, June 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rockville Methodist Church, 128 N. Market St., Rockville. Each doctor has graciously donated time in effort to listen, hear and answer your medical questions. For reservations please call (765) 569-5356 or (765) 569-2349.

Come join the Polar Extremes adventure June 6-10 at Vacation Bible School at Waterman Baptist Church in Lodi, IN.  Each morning from 9:00 to noon, boys and girls will learn from the Bible stories and scripture memorization how they can have Extreme Trust, Obedience, Joy, Forgiveness, and Love and be a young person who is ”All of Me, All Out for God.”  All children from Kindergarten through those who have completed 8th grade are invited come and enjoy the excitement as they participate in crafts, sports activities, skits, and contests along with their Bible adventures. All the children will participate in a closing program on the last morning, Friday, June 10, at 11:40 a.m.,  with a picnic to follow. Waterman Baptist Church is located at 8560 W. Parke Without Reverse will commemorate their 200th video upload/broadcast with their next production the Parke County Board of Commissioners meeting. A live chat session with Jim Meece during the premiere of the prior day’s commissioner meeting. A link to watch will be posted on homepage of ParkeWithoutReverse.org Tuesday, June 7. The event will take place at 8 p.m.

Composting Class

Composting Class will be Thursday, June 9 at 6 p.m. in (the Club House) at the Parke County Rotary Community Garden, 413 S. U.S. 41 in Rockville. Presentation is by Kurt Lanzone, Parke County Extension Educator. Registration is accepted as space is limited. Music Sing

Parkeville Community Christian Church at 7934 E 350 N, Rockville (north of Bellmore), will be having their second Saturday music sing, Saturday, June 11 at 6 p.m. in the church basement. All instrument players, singers and listeners are welcome. Finger foods to share are welcome, but not required. We sing mostly gospel music, with some old-time clean country and bluegrass thrown in. Parke County Senior Citizens will meet Tuesday, June 14, for their annual picnic. They will meet at 11 a.m. at Reeder Park in Montezuma. Bring a covered dish and join in. For further information call (765) 592-7049.

Electronics Recycling Day will be held Saturday, June 18 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon) at Parke County 4-H Fairgrounds. Please do not place electronics (E-waste) items in your trash as they contain toxic materials banned from landfills since 2011. Acceptable electronics include (but not limited to) are computer monitors/towers, laptops, personal size printers/scanners, keyboards, cables, modems, iPad/tablets, stereo systems, MP3 players, DVD/VHS players, CD players, camcorders, fax machines, tabletop copiers, blenders, toasters, telephones, answering machines, gaming systems, cell phones, chargers, and digital cameras. Accepting televisions any size for a cost. Non-accepted items include vacuum cleaners, hair dryers, A/C, large appliances, microwaves, smoke detectors, batteries, chemical, cleaners, fluorescent tubes, furniture, and grills/propane tanks.
