Event Calendar

The Young at Heart Ministry of Hillsboro Nazarene Church announces these Saturday events in October. Unless otherwise noted, each event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and reservations may be made by calling the church, (765) 798-2350. Note: Activities are open to all older adults in Fountain and neighboring counties. October events are as follows:

–October 12, Veterans’ Appreciation Lunch featuring a bratwurst lunch and entertainment by Dusty Marlatt. Cost is free for Veterans. Location: American Legion, 122 West Mill Street, Attica.

Portland Mills Christian Church will be hosting an Old Fashioned Hayride, Saturday, October 12 and October 19 (No Rain Dates), 3 to 9 p.m. Opening at 3 p.m., with the 1^st wagon leaving at 4 p.m. and the last wagon leaving at 8:30 p.m., closing will be at 9 p.m. Take a hayride that journey’s through the countryside and maybe a story or two about Parke County and the Portland Mills area and their historical pasts.

Parkeville Community Christian Church, 7934 E. 350 N., Rockville (North of Bellmore) will host their monthly gospel music jam Saturday, October 12 at 6 p.m. All instrument players, singers and listeners are welcome.
