Chili Cook-Off
The Dana Park Board is hosting its annual chili cook off February 2. This year’s theme will be the Superbowl. Represent your favorite team and bring your best chili. We have prizes for first and second places, a People’s Choice award and Best Decorated. Also, we will be holding a silent auction. Feel free to bring your favorite tailgating treats for our snack/dessert table. Extra power cords/strips are also appreciated. For questions, call (812) 240-4072 or (217) 251-8092. All proceeds go towards improving and maintaining the Dana Town Park. The event will be located at the Dana firehouse on Maple Street (State Road 71).
Mobile Market
The United Way Wabash Valley Mobile Market is at the Parke County Public Library every Monday from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. They are working hard to bring quality and fresh produce to local neighborhoods at inexpensive prices. Cash, check, WIC/SNAP/EBT and debit and credit cards are accepted.
Community Giveaway
Rockville Church of the Nazarene, 262 S. North Dr., Rockville, is set to host a Community Giveaway event Saturday, January 26 at the church, from 2 to 5 p.m. There will be clothing for men, women and children. Coats, hats, gloves, toys, books and household items will also be available. Everything is free with no strings attached. Those with questions may call Pastor Sheila at (765) 918-3790. The church is also set to host “Your Kingdom Come.” A discussion-study, Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
