Over 130 years of experience will walk out the doors of North Central Parke schools this month, and the four (4) staff members with that experience were recognized by the school board at their May 17 meeting. Staff members honored for their years of experience at the start of the board meeting were Veronica Hill, 34 years; Karen Baxter, 27 years; Sue Lawson, 33 years; and Sherri Paxton, 37 years. Each of the retirees introduced their family and guests in attendance, and as each spoke, they thanked the board and schools for the opportunity to help develop many students over the years.
In further personnel actions the board accepted several resignations including teachers Natalee Laube, Middle School Ag Techer; Jennifer Simpson, Turkey Run Elementary (TRES); and Amanda Martin, TRES; along with Justin Pavot, Music Teacher at both elementary schools.
The board approved the transfer of Kara Burgess to be the Literacy Coach at TRES. New hires approved for the coming year include Carolyn Cleaver as an RES teacher and Nakole Norris as a health/special education teacher.
