Parke Heritage High School Holds Winter Sports Banquet

Parke Heritage High School held its winter sports honors night on Tuesday, March 14.

Athletic Director Rich Schelsky opened the program with thanks to those who helped during the winter season. Principal Bruce Patton and Assistant Principal Amy Harpold presented certificates to the student athletes who earned honor roll distinction for the third nine weeks. The  athletes from girls basketball, wrestling and dance along with their families were then dismissed to different locations for each sport’s recognition program.

Girls basketball awards were presented to Emma Simpson- Most Valuable Performer and Playmaker Award; Addison Jenkins- Mental Attitude; Cate O’Brien- Defensive Stopper; Raegan Ramsay- Most Improved and Free Throw Awards, Addilee Jenkins- Coaches Award and JV Leadership Award, Kenna Batty- Character and Leadership Award; Mia Bunner- JV Hustle Award; Lexi McCormick- JV Mental Attitude and Most Improved Awards. Simpson and Ramsay were named All-Conference. Simpson was also recognized for being named to the Small School All-State Team.
