Legal Notice – Parke County, Conditional Sale of Real Estate, Town of Rockville

CONDITIONAL SALE OF REAL ESTATE BY THE TOWN OF

ROCKVILLE, INDIANA

 

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Rockville, Indiana will receive bids for the conditional purchase of a certain parcel of real estate located in the Town of Rockville, Indiana. The Auditor of Parke County issued a Tax Certificate for the subject parcel of real estate to the Parke County Commissioners after the parcel failed to receive the minimum bid required by law at tax sale. The tax deed was then assigned to the Town of Rockville, Indiana. The sale of the subject parcel is conditioned upon the Town of Rockville, Indiana accepting said bid for purchase. The Town of Rockville, Indiana shall convey its rights, title, and interest in the subject real estate to the successful bidder by quit-claim deed. The Town of Rockville, Indiana makes no warranties or representations concerning the subject real estate or title to the same.

 

The subject real estate is located at 402 S. Jefferson Street, Rockville, Indiana 47872. Better described as follows:

Lot Numbered One hundred one (101) in the Original Plat of the Town of Rockville, Parke County, Indiana, as per plat thereof recorded July 28, 1825, in Plat Book 1, page 2, in the office of the Recorder of Parke County, Indiana.

Twenty (20) feet off of the East end of Lot Numbered One hundred (100) in the Original Plat of the Town of Rockville, Parke County, Indiana as per plat thereof recorded July 28, 1825, in Plat Book 1, page 2, in the office of the Recorder of Parke County, Indiana

The Town of Rockville has established ($11,750) eleven thousand seven hundred and fifty dollars as the minimum bid for the parcels and reserves the right to reject any and all bids for the particular parcels of real estate. A bid submitted by a trust (as identified in I.C. 30-4-1-1(a) must identify each beneficiary of the trust and settler empowered to revoke or modify the trust.

 

The Town of Rockville will open and consider offers to purchase the property at a meeting to be held on December 19th at 5:00 p.m. at the Rockville Town Hall. Offers to purchase may be delivered, in writing, to the Town of Rockville at any time prior to the meeting by dropping off a sealed envelope containing said offer to Rockville Town Hall 103 W.
