How old are churches in Parke County? One is about as old as the county itself! Rockville First United Methodist Church will celebrate their bicentennial this year September, 4.
While they have used multiple buildings and the denomination has seen changes over the years, the congregation traces its roots to 1822. The current building on North Market Street is among the older structures in town, dating back to just after the Civil War.
