TOWN OF ROCKVILLE, INDIANA
ORDINANCE 2022-05
HEALTH AND PUBLIC NUISANCE
Whereas, the Town of Rockville is desirous of amending a certain ordinance concerning Health and Public Nuisance in the Town of Rockville, Indiana, said Ordinance being Ordinance No. 253, passed 3-21-1910, to add a prohibition on blowing grass clippings into any street or alley of the Town of Rockville, IN.
NOW THEREFORE IT IS ORDAINED AND RESOLVED by the Town Council of Rockville, Indiana, that upon passage of this ordinance, due publication of this notice as required by I.C. 5-3-1 that:
- Section 93.03 of said ordinance entitled: Rubbish and Waste Water in Streets and Alleys Prohibited; Maintenance Receptacles, shall be amended to be worded as follows:
“It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to deposit, blow or allow to accumulate ashes, waste or other garbage, trash, grass clippings or leaves, or pour or allow to run waste water in, any street or alley of the town. Such material shall at all times be placed in a separate covered receptacle and be readily accessible for emptying or removal and be placed within the building or within the confines of the lot on which the building is situated. Garbage receptacles shall be tightly covered and emptied frequently enough to prevent fermentation and bad odors.”
- That any existing Ordinances which are or may be in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent that they conflict with this Ordinance.
- That any violation of this ordinance shall be subject to Penalty in accordance with § 93.99.
Unanimous consent of Town Council members present on the 20 day of June, 2022 to consider the ordinance on the same date as introduced.
