Notice is hereby given that the Clay Community Schools will receive sealed bids for the following Prime Contracts.  Said bids will be received until 2:30 PM (local time) on Thursday, March 7th, at the Clay Community Schools Central Office, 1013 South Forest Avenue, Brazil, IN 47834, at which time bids will be publicly opened.

Separate Bid Proposals are requested for the scopes of work described in 01 12 00 Multiple Contract Summary. Bid Proposals shall include all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, hoisting, services, and transportation necessary to complete the Scope of Work.

 

Bid Security in the amount of five (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

 

The Owner is a tax-exempt institution and Indiana State Sales Tax for products permanently incorporated in Work shall not be included as part of the Bid or on any Application for Payment.  All Bidders must comply with all state and federal non-discrimination laws.

 

Responsive bidders may not have an active dispute, claim, or litigation with the Owner.

 

All work for the complete construction of the Project will be under multiple Prime Contracts based on Bid Proposals received and on combinations awarded. Award of Contracts will be in accordance with Indiana Public Bidding Laws.  The Construction Manager will manage construction of the Project.

 

The Owner reserves their right to accept or reject any Bid or combination of Bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding.  All Bids may be held for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days before awarding contracts or issuing Notice to Proceed.

 

Bid Proposals shall be in full accordance with the Bidding Documents which are on file with Garmong Construction Services and may be examined by prospective bidders at the following locations:

Bidders will be held accountable for the Bidding Documents in their entirety, the complete Drawing and Specification package and any Addenda.

 

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at Clay Community Schools Central Office, beginning at 9:00 AM EST, February 21, 2022.  Access to the school properties will be granted from 9:30 AM to 2:45 PM EST. Individuals will be vetted at the main offices at each school.  Attendees will be required to wear masks; mask mandates will follow county health department requirements, state requirements, and/or school board requirements. Attendance by bidders is optional, but recommended, to clarify or answer questions concerning the Bid Documents.  No additional site visits will be permitted.
