County Halloween Happenings

HALLOWEEN HOURS

The following times and dates for trick-or-treating for the youngsters.

TOWN OF ROCKVILLE

Trick-or-treat on the Square in Rockville will be Halloween, Sunday, October 31 at 5 to 7 p.m. Merchants will come out and treat all the ghosties and goblins as they parade around the square.  There will be a costume contest at 6 p.m. Hot dogs with a soda available for $1 while they last. If you are a non-profit and interested in a spot to give candies out, call Mike Sasin, at G & M Ace Hardware as he is the chairman and he will advise you where to set up.

Door-to-Door trick-or-treating hours for the town of Rockville are 5 to 8 p.m.

TOWN OF BLOOMINGDALE

The Town of Bloomingdale, Bloomington Forever Fund and Youth Association will provide Trunk or Treat from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, October 30 on Main Street.  Hot dogs and hot chocolate will be served at the Community Center for all trick-or-treaters.  Bloomingdale residents, organizations and businesses are invited to provide treats from their car trunks if preferred to greeting trick-or-treaters’ at their home. Regular trick-or-treat hours are Saturday, October 30 from 5 to 8 p.m.

TOWN OF MARSHALL

The Marshall Volunteer Fire Department will have a trunk- or-treat event Sunday, October 31 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

TOWN OF MECCA

The Town of Mecca has set hours for door-to-door trick or treat, for Sunday, October 31, 4 to 8 p.m.

TOWN OF MONTEZUMA

Montezuma will have their Pranks in the Park October 30 with a Trunk-or-Treat at Reeder Park from 7 to 8 p.m. The Haunted Hayrides will begin, and meals will be served from 7:30 to 10 p.m. There is a cost for the meals. Haunted Hoosier History will be from 8 to 10 p.m. Town trick or treating will be October 31, from 5 to 8 p.m.

TOWN OF ROSEDALE

The Town of Rosedale will have trick-or-treat set for both Saturday, October 30 and Sunday, October 31 from 6 to 9 p.m.

TURKEY RUN ELEMENTARY

Turkey Run Elementary (TRES) students and families can join in for a spooktacular evening of outdoor trick or treating Thursday, October 28 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the TRES playground/parking lot. Those who wish to participate are asked to park at Parke Heritage Middle School parking lot and walk through the elementary playground.

BOO AT THE BRIDGE

October 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. Mecca Historical Society is having Boo at the Bridge in Mecca.  Wear your costume and play old-fashioned games. Food available for donation. All ages welcome
