The Parke County Adult Tutoring Services (PATS) will be having a FREE BOOK EXCHANGE during the Community Yard Sale, Saturday, May 1, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the northwest corner of the courthouse yard. Bring a book(s) and exchange it for a book(s) you have not read.
There are many books to choose from. Monetary and book donations will be accepted to help support Parke Adult Tutoring Services literacy activities.
PATS is currently sponsoring four mini-libraries throughout the county and special school literacy projects funding. The purpose of the PATs is to give assistance to all persons living in Parke County by acquiring or improving skills in reading, oral and written communication, and mathematics, so they may be able to participate more fully in society and enjoy an enriched lifestyle.
