Please, join us for the annual jamboree as we kick off baseball and softball season for our youth league teams. The grand opening of the dog park will take place with treats available for your pets. The town also wants to share all the improvements that have taken place at the park and playground.
Local food vendors will be on hand throughout the day. If you don’t want to attend in the events, come on out to grab lunch or a treat. Covered Dogs will be there, along with Mrs. Smith’s famous gingersnap cookies and Logan’s lemonade. Kona Ice will be on site, as will Shannon’s Sugar Rush with some tasty treats. We are waiting on confirmation from several other yummy food trucks and vendors.
People will begin gathering around 11 a.m. at the pavilion in the park with festivities staring around 11:30 a.m. At 12 p.m. the players and coaches will parade to the ball fields. There will also be a “pet parade” to the dog park at noon. Feel free to bring your fur babies to grab a treat or enjoy a play date. Scott Pet, Ace Hardware, and Mark Southwick, in conjunction with Pet Smart, have all donated items. We ask that you not bring dogs that are aggressive or who don’t play well with others.
You are also invited to take a walk through the park to see the new playground equipment, lending library, corn hole boards, and re-vamped horseshoe pits. Find a seat on some of the new benches and enjoy the day.
