The Parke County Commissioners approved a funding option for CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security) revenue, matching funds for a First Aid station grant and a Capital Improvement Plan Resolution.
The county council asked the commissioners to decide which option for CARES Act Funds they preferred so that a public notice could be printed in time for the December council meeting when they will formally approve the selection.
Commissioners approved a 20% match of $116 to fund a grant from the Indiana Public Employers Plan, a non-profit, self-funded workers’ compensation program, to purchase five First Aid Stations for three county buildings, bringing them into compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. Three of the stations will be installed at the Courthouse, one on each floor. The grant provided $467 towards the purchase.
