International Paper Newport Mill Awards More Than $50,000
The International Paper Newport Mill has awarded the North Vermillion School Corporation a $50,000 International Paper (IP) Foundation Capital Campaign Grant. This brand new grant is an annual opportunity for IP US facilities to commit to a multi-year capital campaign through the IP Foundation to increase community engagement.
The grant will be distributed over a two-year period for the school corporation and will go toward building an agriculture greenhouse.
“I want to thank International Paper for the community support and investing in education,” said Dan Nelson, North Vermillion Superintendent. “The grant to fund the North Vermillion Greenhouse will be invaluable to student learning. The greenhouse will provide hands-on learning with plant growth and development, and will not only service our agricultural students, but will be a valuable asset to our elementary students and community members as well.”
