Student Spotlight: Carleigh Craycraft

“My favorite character is Hermione Granger,” said Carleigh Craycraft. “Hermione reminds me of myself. I like that she is a good friend to Ron and Harry.”

Carleigh loves to read! Her favorite series is the Harry Potter books, but she really enjoys reading all genres. The Turkey Run Elementary fifth grader admits, that historical fiction and fantasy books are her favorites.

“When I read, I don’t have to pay attention to what is going on around me. I go into the book,” said Carleigh. “It’s very calming. I enjoy the silence.”

A swing in her yard is her favorite place to sit and read especially during the summer months. The motion of the swing is very calming to her while reading.
