Crash Kills Waveland Teen

Just before 8:45 p.m., Sunday, September 27, the Indiana State Police responded to a multi-vehicle crash on S.R. 47 near C.R. 700 S in Montgomery County. Three vehicles and five people were involved in the crash, four of which were transported to a local hospital with injuries, where one was later pronounced deceased.

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Chandler Stanton revealed that a Dodge Ram 1500, driven by Keith Brock, 69 of Waveland, with one passenger, was traveling south on SR 47 approaching the intersection of C.R. 700 S. Near the intersection of C.R. 700 S were two vehicles on the right shoulder of the southbound lane, one of which was disabled. For an unknown reason, Brock’s Dodge Ram struck both vehicles that were parked on the shoulder.
