Student Spolight: Kaitlyn Morgan’s African Adventure

African Adventure

Many students dream about living abroad or going on an African adventure. For Kaitlyn Morgan, this adventure came true when she and her family lived on the African coast for two years.

The Rockville Elementary fifth-grader spent her second and third grade years on a  Mercy ship just off the coasts of Cameroon and Guinea. Kaitlyn’s mother served as a surgery recovery room nurse on the ship, and her Dad was a hotel services manager. Her sister, Jocelyn, also lived on the ship with them.
