Officer Appreciation Spaghetti Dinner Held
OFFICER APPRECIATION DINNER HELD. Parke Heritage Middle School seventh and eighth grade girls’ basketball teams hosted an Officer Appreciation dinner Friday, February 28. The girls prepared baked spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, green beans and desserts for the officers. “I try to do community service with the girls every year,” said Coach Deb Mitchell. “This teaches them more than the game. It is important for the players to learn respect, sportsmanship, and helping others. All of the officers were very impressed with the food the girls fixed by themselves. They really enjoyed our gesture of our appreciation.” Girls basketball team members with the officers are: (front row, from left) Kenna Batty, Emma Simpson, Addison Jenkins, Addilee Jenkins, Trista Britton, Chloe Bordeaux, Bailee Lancaster (second row) Ella Stultz, Maddy Downs, Addison Frazier, Cate O’Brien, Andrea Perkins, Logan Schmeltz, Raegan Ramsay, Jenna McVay (third row) Candy Canfield, Darian Lewellen, Bill Bettis, Jason Frazier, Jeff Ramey, Chris McCann, Randy Kneeland, Cory Hutchins, Eric Thompson (back row) Rodger Smith, Braden Mitchell, Cameron Martin and John Montgomery.
