From February 8-12, Deb Barnett, District Administrator, Parke County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) and Eric Shideler, Conservation Director, Vermillion County SWCD, attended the 74th Annual Meeting of the National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD), held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Hosted in partnership with the Nevada Association of Conservation Districts (NVACD), NACD’s 2020 Annual Meeting brought together nearly 1,000 conservation leaders from across the nation for educational sessions, workshops and networking. This year’s meeting theme, “Conservation Innovation: Working from the Roots Up,” explored innovative techniques for delivering conservation on the ground. This included a Conservation Innovation Fair within the NACD Conservation Expo, which featured collaborators across the public, private and nonprofit sectors whose innovations help support conservation delivery.
