Domestic Disturbance Turns into Shots Fired

Indiana State Police are investigating an overnight shooting that occurred Sunday, on State Road 340, west of Brazil, that claimed the life of a Brazil resident.

At approximately 9 p.m., February 16, the Clay County Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting shots fired at 2055 S.R. 340, west of Brazil. The Brazil City Police Department and Clay County Sheriff’s Department, along with first responders, immediately responded to the residence and upon their arrival, found an individual located inside the residence with gunshot wounds.  The individual had already succumbed to injuries.
