Choices Matter Program

GUEST SPEAKER VISITS PHHS. Parke Heritage High School had a special convocation Tuesday, December 10 in the High School gymnasium. The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute hosted a Choices Matter Program for the students. Chris Sandy was the guest speaker for the event. Sandy is serving a 30-year sentence after drinking and driving in his 20’s causing an accident that resulted in two deaths. He spent eight-and-a-half years of his sentence in the Jackson State Penitentiary where he started working on a campaign against drunk driving. He now spends his time traveling to eight-10 schools a week to tell his story while serving the rest of his sentence on probation.
