Costumes for Halloween
COSTUMES FOR HALLOWEEN. Despite cold, snow, wind and rain, hearty residents took to the historic Rockville Square Halloween night to Trick-or-Treat merchants and non profits. A huge crowd of interested people were on hand. The costume contest was held inside the courthouse on the first floor, offering some relief to the trick-or-treaters as they awaited judging. Winners are as follows: (in no particular order) Best Group – Hagen Jeffrey and Mitch Simmons, Best Pet – Sully Julbert, Scariest – Dylen Julbert, Most Creative – Tucker Gould, Best Homemade – Mason Larson, Prettiest – Harlow Simmons, Funniest – Timothy Rizitas, Best Adult Female – Jade Larson and Best Adult Male – Mitch Simmons. Giving prizes were Gooch Funeral Home, Parke County REMC and Thirty-Six Saloon. Mike Berry gave a generous donation which helped pay for the hot dogs and sodas that were given away to all comers who were interested in eating. MainStreet Rockville chairman of this event Mike Sasin thanks all those who participated in any way. And to the merchants and non profits, a huge thank you as well. (photo submitted)
