Pastor Appreciation Month
October is celebrated as Pastor Appreciation Month across the United States. With that in mind, for the 12th consecutive year, Wednesday, October 30, the Sentinel will be offering a Clergy Appreciation page or pages, thanking local ministers for the very hard work that they do for us and our churches. If you are interested in thanking your minister, please call Kelly Nelson at the Sentinel, (765) 569-2033 and we can tell you the ad sizes and charges.
In recent years some congregations chose to not only thank their ministers, but also let the county know about their churches and what they offer. We had big ads, and very small ads, but each and every one shared the most positive information. This is your opportunity to let the county know what is going on in your church. The deadline for copy is October 25, so that we have ample time to do the best job for you.
Copy for the ads might include pictures of your minister or pastor, pictures of your church, a logo from church stationery, pictures of Sunday school classes, whatever you wish to highlight. If you are interested give us a call and we can perhaps help you decide which way you want to go.
There can be no group of people who are more deserving of public thanks than our ministers. They are with us at the hardest times as well as at the most joyous times, in our lives. They can be found in the hospitals, cemeteries and in church, all with our welfare in mind. There are some ministers in the county that visit not only their own congregations but other Parke County residents if they are doing hospital calls. And we are all grateful.
Don’t forget, the deadline for this issue is October 25. If you think you might like to participate, call (765) 569-2033 for further information.
