Grant Purchases New Flags

GRANT PURCHASES NEW FLAGS. The Parke County Veterans Council applied for a grant from the Parke County Community Foundation. Upon receipt of the grant, they purchased 100 American Flags and recently presented them to the Town of Rockville. The town will use them to replace flags that are retired. The town also hopes to add some additional stanchions to display more flags. Those in attendance for the presentation were (from left) Stan Rukes, Veterans Service Officer; Liddy Dowd-Wright, President of the Rockville Town Council; Adam Livers, intern at the Community Foundation; and Jim Sparks, member of the Parke County Veterans Council. The Town of Rockville is grateful for this generous gift. (photo submitted)
