Hillsdale Man Charged with Child Exploitation
Indiana State Police initiated a criminal investigation in April 2019, after receiving information from the Connecticut State Police that a 12-year-old female had been exploited by an individual in the state of Indiana.
The Investigation revealed that a Leonard D. Beebe, 53, of Hillsdale, Indiana, allegedly had been engaging in child exploitation with a minor.
After reviewing the investigation, the Vermillion County Prosecutor’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Beebe, August 5. Beebe turned himself into the Vermillion County Sheriff’s office and bonded out. He faces charges of Child Exploitation, Level 4 Felony.
Investigating Officer was Indiana State Police Master Trooper Detective Jason Schoffstall of the Putnamville State Police Post, assisted by the Connecticut State Police.
Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
