Notice to Taxpayers and All Other Persons Affected by the Adoption of Declaratory Resolution Terminating and Dissolving the East Central Parke Economic Development Area

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE East CENTRAL PARKE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA

Taxpayers of Parke County and all other persons affected hereby are notified that the Parke County Redevelopment Commission (“Commission”), at a meeting held April 23, 2019 adopted Resolution No. 2019-1 (“Resolution”) terminating the designation of the East Central Parke Economic Development Area as an Economic Development Area, and terminating the designation of certain areas within the EDA to be Allocation Areas; and

The Declaratory Resolution was submitted to the Parke County Plan Commission and the Parke County Commissioners for review.

Notice is further given that the Commission will hold a public hearing on July 23, 2019, at the hour of 6:00 p.m., local time, at 108 S. Market St., Rockville, IN 47872. At the time fixed for the hearing or at any time prior thereto, any person interested in the proceedings may file a written remonstrance, objection, or comment with the Secretary of the Commission, in care of Partnership Parke County, 108 S. Market St., Rockville IN 47872. At the public hearing, which may be adjourned from time to time, the Commission shall receive and hear all persons interested in or affected by the proceedings and shall consider all comments, remonstrances, objections, and any written remonstrances and written objections that have been filed. After considering the evidence presented, the Commission shall determine the appropriateness and reasonableness of the proposal to terminate the designation of the East Central Parke Economic Development Area as an Economic Development Area, and terminate the designation of certain areas within the EDA to be Allocation Areas; and confirm, modify and confirm or rescind the Resolution. The final action taken by the Commission shall be recorded and is final and conclusive, except that an appeal may be taken in the manner prescribed by I.C. 36-7-14-18.
