Covered Bridge Puzzle Winner
COVERED BRIDGE PUZZLE WINNER. MainStreet Rockville has announced the winner of the 2019 Limited Edition of the Covered Bridge Puzzle contest is Ricky Davison of Terre Haute. The subject of his winning picture is the Billie Creek Covered Bridge built in 1895 by J. J. Daniels. The Billie Creek Covered Bridge lies adjacent to Billie Creek Village, at the juncture of East High Street and Old 36 Road. More than 100 years old, this bridge still carries traffic on a daily basis. The photo entered by Davison was shot when he and his wife were making one of their many drives into Parke County. Davison is a Customer Service Engineer for QSI (Quality Service Installation). Graduating from IUPUI/Indianapolis with a degree in Electronics, Davison services and installs banking equipment and electronic security for Vigo and surrounding counties. The Covered Bridge Puzzle project began in 2011 with Bowsher Ford Covered Bridge as the subject. Subsequent puzzle subjects were Bridgeton, Portland Mills, Beeson, Cox Ford, Marshall, Nevins and Phillips. The puzzles for 2019 are available for sale at the following Parke County locations: Turkey Run Inn Gift Shop, Parke County Sentinel, Parke County Public Library, Parke County REMC, Aunt Patty’s Antiques, Parke County Visitor’s Center, G & M Ace hardware, Neva’s Antiques and G & M Variety. A limited number are printed yearly so those interested are encouraged to watch for opening day of sales. (photo submitted)
