The problem is within a family property in Rosedale, IN within the Florida Township of Parke County, T14N, Section 27, Range 8W. The problem consists of an abandoned mine shaft approximately fifty (50) feet in diameter and fifteen (15) feet down to a vertical opening. The vertical opening is six (6) feet in diameter with an unknown depth at least greater than eight (8) feet. Reclamation will consist of mobilizing equipment to excavate to a stable base, removing and stacking metal dumped into the opening for the landowner, then backfilling with aggregate and revegetating the disturbed areas with seed and mulch.
