The Riverton Parke boys’ basketball team traveled to Terre Haute South for the 2018 Wabash Valley Classic. On the first day the Panthers lost to Sullivan 64-41. Riverton Parke’s second round game was against the Cloverdale Clovers and the Panthers won their second game of the season 55-50.
Riverton Parke led throughout the game. Riverton Parke led 16-14 after one period, 34-26 at halftime, and 41-32 after three quarters. Cloverdale got to within three points multiple times in the games’ final minutes, but each time the Panthers scored to increase the lead.
Jonathon Virostko led the Panther scoring with 13 points while Logan Harrison and Alex Atkinson each scored 11 points.
