Lady Wolves Fall To Trojans; Beat Cougars; 2-1 In Tourney

Parke Heritage Lady Wolves volleyball team lost to Covington 19-25, 24-26, 22-25 last Tuesday.
For the Wolves, Jillian Gregg had five kills, two assists, an ace and seven digs; Emily Gill had a dig; Morgen Tinkle had two kills, 20 assists and nine digs; Atlantis Clendenin had nine kills, four aces and nine digs; Faith Crouch had four kills and three digs; Emma Tinkle had five kills, four aces and four digs; and Emma White had a kill, four assists, three aces and 15 digs.
The junior varsity lost 9-25 and 24-25.
For the Wolves, Macy Millspaugh had three kills, five assists, an ace and four digs; Kristen Wood had a dig; Mady Millspaugh had two kills, an ace and ten digs; Meghan Sliz had three kills, five aces and 12 digs; Kailyn McKinney had six digs; Lexi Jones had nine digs; Grace Ramsay had two kills and two digs; and Sydney Bigger had nine digs.
The Lady Wolves took a four-game match over North Putnam last Thursday, 22-25, 25-10, 25-11 and 25-17.
For the Wolves, Gregg had nine kills, an assist, three aces and nine digs; Hill had two kills and a dig; Morgen Tinkle had a kill, 41 assists, six aces and four digs; Clendenin had 21 kills, seven aces, 12 digs and a block; Emma Tinkle had seven kills, an ace and five digs; White had a kill, three aces and 12 digs; Bigger had a dig; Grace Kiefner had four kills, an ace and three digs; and Abby Stowe had an ace.
Parke Heritage also won the junior varsity match 25-11, 25-13. They are now 8-5 on the season and 3-1 in the WRC.

Saturday the Lady Wolves traveled to the Bedford-North Lawrence Invitational and went 2-1 for the day. In the first match they defeated Martinsville 26-24, 25-12; they took the second match over Bedford-North Lawrence 25-15, 25-13; but lost their third match to Trinity Lutheran 20-25, 21-25.
For the three matches of the tournament, White had ten aces, five kills, two assists and 28 digs; Emma Tinkle had seven kills and 13 digs; Mady Millspaugh had a dig; Crouch had two digs; Morgen Tinkle had four aces, a kill, two shared blocks, 55 assists and 15 digs; Gregg had two aces, ten kills and 17 digs; Gill had four kills, a block and a dig; and Clendenin had 14 aces, 31 kills, an assist and 14 digs.
Parke Heritage is now 10-6 and was scheduled to play at South Vermillion last night (Tuesday, September 11).
