Rockville Clean-up Day

The Town of Rockville has set a fall town wide clean-up day Saturday, September 15, to help “clean up the town” ahead of fall activities, and everyone is encouraged to participate.  The goal of this clean-up day is to make Rockville a cleaner, more healthy and more attractive place for everyone who lives here, as well as for visitors.  The time is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This will be the same day as the Solid Waste District Tox-Away Day at Parke County Fairgrounds, but everyone is cautioned to not confuse the two events, and instead to use the timing to their advantage.  Clean up everything at once and take the toxic items to the fairgrounds.

The Town of Rockville Clean Up Day is for household items, not toxic items that need to go to the Tox-Away Day.  Old furniture, non-working appliances, and lots of other unused or unneeded items can be discarded, especially if they are outside in the yard.

Dumpsters will be located near the Rockville utility building next to the police station and firehouse on South Jefferson and South Virginia.

Specific questions can be directed to the Rockville Town Hall at (765) 569-6253.
